The Shure Model A24QG is an accessory conversion kit for use with the Shure AMS24 Gooseneck Microphone. When properly installed, it permits the AMS24 to be used as an easily disconnected XLR connector mount instead of the permanently installed threaded flange mount supplied with the AMS24. The A24QG is designed to mate with most available 3–pin female XLR receptacles (Switchcraft B3F, C3F, D3F, E3F, Y3F Series, etc.). The female receptacle is not furnished with this kit. The AMS24QG consists of a metal case with a male XLR connector in one end and an internal 5 / 16 "-24 thread in the other. A rubber compression ring is supplied to maintain a snug fit between the A24QG XLR connector and the mating female XLR connector. The A24QG is finished in black enamel to match the AMS24.
